I was a guest of Brugal Rum and Shaw Ross Importers in Puerta Plata to tour their distillery and enjoy a few days in the sun. The Dominican is a beautiful country; a place I would love to return to with my kids.

tenaciously > A close up of one of the resting tanks. The molasses that are the base of the rum are trucked from the sugarcane plantations from the other side of the island to the resting tanks every day. (Sugarcane grows like grass all over the island).
