I've been evaluating Elements as a photo editor. So far I think it's a good balance between features and ease of use. Here are some pointless experiments I've done with some of the more "artistic" built - in features.
Another experiment with Magic Extractor and some of Elements' built in features. Easier to use than Layers in Photoshop (and at 90 bucks, about a fifth of the cost of CS3).
