I've been evaluating Elements as a photo editor. So far I think it's a good balance between features and ease of use. Here are some pointless experiments I've done with some of the more "artistic" built - in features.

tenaciously > A few background changes on a picture Jess took of me. It's a picture I've always liked. Here I am "at the beach".......

tenaciously > A silly experiment with Elements' Magic Extractor. It's a nice feature for us Photoshop impaired people!

tenaciously > Another experiment with Magic Extractor and some of Elements' built in features. Easier to use than Layers in Photoshop (and at 90 bucks, about a fifth of the cost of CS3).

tenaciously > The three boys in Hyanniss. This is actually three pictures merged into one. I couldn't get everyone to face forward, but there are some nice features to merge group shots in Elements.
